Blog and blogging business has always been my favorite way to earn money online and I know there are many people out there (like you) looking for the opportunity to earn handsome amount of money from the online activities. Blogging is probably the best activity to earn from internet. Here is the small but very useful step by step guide on how to earn from blog.

1. Decide what you want to write?
2. Setup a WordPress blog.
3. Publish the content.
4. Tell the world about your new blog.
5. Spend 2 hours a day.
6. Monetize your blog and enjoy the earnings.

1. Decide What You Want To Write?

Deciding about niche is the most confusing question I have ever seen while starting out with new blog. Choosing a wrong niche can lead you to a big failure while choosing a right and profitable niche can really make your dreams come true. So which is the right and profitable niche? Well, it’s like impossible to explain everything about niche in single article. However I have few tips for you to find out more about selecting best niche.

• Look for the low competition yet profitable niche.
• Never make mistake to choose highly competitive niche like “how to make money online”.
• Choose niche for general audience and not for specific audience. For example, if you will write on “how to loss weight fast” it will be for general audience.
• Give your maximum time in searching on google about how to select profitable niche, use your own thought, and ask your self what people are hungry for on internet.

2. Setup A WordPress Blog.

Did you notice that I said a wordpress blog? I will not explain why wordpess and why not any other, you can find more about in google. According to my experience, wordpress is the most secure, most used and best blogging platform yet easy to use and customize with different themes and plugins. Here I am talking about self hosted wordpress blog (on your own domain) and not about wordpress hosted blogging service because I don’t like some one else having full control on my hard work and my online profitable blogging business. Will you?
So, setting up a wordpress blog, involves following steps.

• Register keyword rich and easy to remember domain name for your blog.
• I prefer to use domains extensions like .com .net .info and .org.
• Host your domain with good hosting company and install wordpress.
• Install all necessary plugins and suitable theme and make it good looking professional blog.

3. Publish The Content.

Once you are ready to write on your blog, I have few more tips before you start writing and posting content on your blog. I strongly suggest you to either follow my tips or waste lots of time in trying and testing the things to find out my tips are right.

• Never ever copy content from another site if you want life long business from your blog.
• Write on your own or have professional writer to write for you.
• Write for your readers and not for search engines. If your readers will not enjoy reading your content, you will never get what you want from your blog.
• Always remember that blogging is about sharing knowledge, teaching and guiding readers and helping them. So if you are not giving some thing that your reader is looking for in your articles, then probably you can’t succeed.
• You should write regularly to keep your blog fresh and updated. At least 3 articles every week.
• Allow your readers to comment on your content and always answer all of them personally.

4. Tell The World About Your New Blog.

No matter how beautiful and useful your blog is, no one will visit your blog until the internet world knows about it. So here are few more tips to highlight your blog on internet.

• Submit your blog to google webmaster tools, submit your sitemap.
• Share your blog link to your all social media networks like facebook and twitter, ask your online friends to share your link with their network.
• Put your blog link in email signature, your visiting card (if you have) and your chat status. The idea is to spread link every where you can.
• Use some free tools like directory submitter to submit your link to link directory sites.
• If you do these things soon after publishing your first post, your blog will get indexed by google within few days only.

5. Spend 2 Hours A Day.

Now you have that beautiful and useful blog and google has already indexed it (if not, please be patience). Your real job starts now. To make profitable online business with your blog you will have to invest 2 hours a day. These 2 hours work may include…

• Write one good quality and original article.
• SEO Optimize the article, use suitable and eye catching images.
• Publish the article on your blog and submit the same article to top most article directories like ezinearticles, goarticles, ideamarketers, etc.
• Share your article link on all social media accounts you have. You may also use automated and free service like onlywire.
• You may ask your online friends to give their comments and reviews on your blog.
• Email about your latest article to your newsletter subscribers (you must use email subscription service).

6. Monetize Your Blog And Enjoy The Earnings.

If you work for a month just like I have advised above, I am sure you will start receiving enough traffic from google within month or two maximum. Now it’s time to monetize the traffic. Monetization is the process of converting your visitors in to money. Here are few tips to monetize the blog.

• Place Google Adsense ads, my favorite way to monetize the blogs.
• Use clickbank affiliate products to promote and sell on your blog.
• Sell ad space directly to advertisers (you will need various thousands page impressions every month)

I recommend to start with google Adsense as it is very easy to start with and Adsense pays maximum ad revenue amongst other ad networks.
